So I´ve officially been in Argentina for a month now! Hard to believe it´s been that long already!
The past week has been characterized by not one, but TWO failed attempts in visiting the San Telmo area. After realizing Wednesday night that San Telmo is REALLY not a safe place to walk around when you are two blonde, american girls by yourself, my roommate Molly and I hightailed it out of there and told ourselves we would go the next day in daylight. Needless to say a series of unfortunate events prevented us from returning to San Telmo the next day. Once again we promised ourselves we would go on Sunday, for the antiques market. As you can imagine, this did not work out due to the cold rainy weather that greeted us on Sunday. We are determined to make it to San Telmo before the month is over.
On another note I was able to find REAL Skippy peanut butter! I was just wandering
in the Asian Grocery store in my neighborhood and there it was! It´s pretty expensive actually but such a treat I had to get it I couldn´t tell which was chunky vs smooth since it was written in Chinese. Fortunately I guess right and got smooth :)
Still working on the picture and computer charger situation! We should have internet in 2 weeks and my charger (thanks to my parents) should be here as well!
